History
Viqarunnisa Noon School was founded in 1947 by Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Noon, wife of the then-governor of East Pakistan, Firoz Khan Noon.
Founder
Begum Viqar-un-Nisa Hossain Noon (nee Victoria) was Austrian by birth. She married Sir Feroz Khan Noon in 1945, who had served as the Indian High Commissioner in England and later became the seventh Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Noons actively participated in social work, and Viqarunnisa Noon School was one of their projects. The Noon Educational Foundation, along with the Viqar un Nisa College for Women in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, is also funded by the foundation to support Pakistani students studying at Oxford and Cambridge.
