Motijheel Model School & College (MMSC) is an educational institution in Bangladesh established in 1980. The school is one of the prominent schools of Dhaka, offering education from primary to higher secondary level. MMSC has two campuses: one is in Motijheel and the other one is in Bashabao.
History and Background
MMSC was founded in 1980 by late Mesbah Uddin Sabu, a renowned educationist and social worker. He envisioned a school that would provide quality education to the students of Motijheel, a densely populated and underprivileged area of Dhaka. He started the school with only 12 students and 3 teachers in a rented house. Gradually, the school expanded its facilities and programs, and moved to its own building in 1985.
MMSC became a college in 1996, offering higher secondary education in science, humanities and business studies. The college also introduced English version curriculum in 2009. MMSC has achieved remarkable results in the national board exams, securing top positions among the schools and colleges of Dhaka.

The vision of MMSC is to create enlightened citizens who can contribute to the national development and global harmony. The mission of MMSC is to provide quality education that fosters academic excellence, moral values, social responsibility and creativity.
Facilities and Activities
MMSC has well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, library, auditorium, playground, cafeteria and hostel. The school also has a computer center, a language lab, a multimedia room and a counseling center. MMSC offers various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, such as sports, cultural programs, debates, quizzes, science fairs, study tours, social service and clubs. MMSC also organizes annual events, such as prize giving ceremony, parents’ day, teachers’ day, alumni reunion and founders’ day.
Admission and Contact
MMSC admits students from nursery to class eleven through a competitive admission test. The admission circular is usually published in November every year on the school website and Facebook page . The admission fee is affordable and there are provisions for scholarships and stipends for meritorious and needy students.
