History:
The West End High School, which started its journey in a limited range, has a strong and leading position in the education world of Bangladesh today after a long half-century. After a short stay on the Dhaka College campus in the ’80s, the college started functioning in its present location in the ’70s. The new journey of modern Dhaka City College started soon after the principal Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin took charge in 1986.Renowned educationist Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin passed away on December 29, 2009, after 33 years of successful tenure as Principal. Principal Md. Hafiz Uddin is known as the ‘Designer of Modern Dhaka City College’.
