Facilities
CMPI is a large educational institute for female students in Bangladesh. It has a nice architectural view with a playground centered in the middle of the academic building. It also has the following facilities for its students:
- Hostel: CMPI provides hostel accommodation for its students within the institute campus. The hostel has all the necessary amenities and security for the students.
- Library: CMPI has a well-stocked library with books, journals, magazines and newspapers on various subjects. The students can borrow books from the library for free and use them for their studies and research.

History of CMPI
CMPI was established in 2005 with four departments: Computer, Electronics, Architecture & Interior Design, and Garments Design & Pattern Making. It was the second women’s polytechnic institute in Bangladesh after Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute. The institute started with 200 students and 40 teachers. Over time, it has improved its infrastructure, curriculum, faculty and facilities. Currently, it has over 600 students and 80 teachers. The present principal of the institute is Engr. Sunil Chandra Chowdhury.
Departments of CMPI
CMPI offers four-year diploma courses in four departments: Computer, Electronics, Architecture & Interior Design, and Garments Design & Pattern Making. Each department has 50 seats in each shift (morning and evening). The courses are designed to provide theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to the students in their respective fields. The courses also include general subjects such as English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Social Science and Islamic Studies.

Admission Process of CMPI
To get admission in CMPI, the students have to meet the following criteria:
- They have to pass the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.00 and individual GPA of 3.00 in Mathematics or General Mathematics.
- They have to apply online through the official website of Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) (www.bteb.gov.bd) within the specified deadline.
- They have to pay an application fee of 150 BDT through mobile banking or bank draft.
- They have to sit for an admission test conducted by BTEB based on their SSC syllabus.
- They have to secure a minimum score of 40 out of 100 in the admission test to be eligible for admission.
- They have to follow the admission quota system as per the government rules.
The admission quota system is as follows:
- General Quota: 50%
- Freedom Fighter Quota: 5%
- Tribal Quota: 3%
- Children of Expatriate Quota: 2%
- Children of Non-Government Technical School Teachers Quota: 1%
- Children of Government Technical School Teachers Quota: 1%
- Children of Government Employees Quota: 1%
- Children of CMPI Employees Quota: 1%
The admission test is usually held in June or July every year. The admission test result is published on the BTEB website and on the notice board of CMPI. The selected candidates have to complete their admission formalities within the given time period.
