Arun Chandra High School is one of the oldest and most prestigious secondary schools in Noakhali District, Bangladesh. It was established in 1914 by Arun Chandra Roy, a renowned lawyer and social reformer. The school is located in Maijdee, the administrative center of Noakhali Sadar Upazila. It is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Comilla.
History and Achievements
The school was founded with the aim of providing quality education to the students of Noakhali, especially the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. The school started with only 12 students and one teacher, but gradually expanded its infrastructure and facilities over the years. The school was nationalized in 1973 by the government of Bangladesh.
The school has produced many eminent personalities in various fields, such as politics, education, literature, journalism, law, medicine, engineering, and civil service.
